![]() ![]() If you made Rocksmith work with the No Cable Patch with great sound quality could you please let us know what Motherboard you have? I'm curious to test my hardware hypothesis. The only other alternative explanation is that Rocksmith actually tries to detect whether or not the Real Tone cable is plugged in and purposefully fucks with the sound to force you to change, which I refuse to believe because I don't think Ubisoft is evil enough to do something that fucking stupid. Hardware differences can be very important because depending on what electronic components you use to create your Analog to Digital Converter, you will get very different delays in the signal. There are different ways of doing this and maybe Rocksmith expects a specific way of this being done, so rather than making the software work for a range of Analog to Digital converters, UBISOFT chose to sell the hardware along with the product. By plugging in the Guitar after passing it through a "Real Tone" Cable, you have already digitized the signal. Maybe not all motherboard sound processors are compatible with Rocksmith.Ĭonsider the following: Without using a Real-Tone cable and plugging into the Microphone jack you are inputting a analog signal into your computer, which leaves your compute to digitize it. The reason I'm asking is because I'm willing to fork over 40$ to just get it to work, but I'm worried that the Real Tone cable doesn't actually do anything and that the sound will still be shit for me after I buy the cable.ĭoes anyone know if the Real Tone cable actually does something useful to the signal?Įdit: Buying the real tome cable definitely fixes my issues. I realize that Rocksmith processes the sound before outputting it, so it's not a 100% complete conversion, but does the Real-Tone cable do something else to clean up the signal? When I listen to the input using headphones, it sounds perfect, but when I play Rock-Smith the sound comes out noisy no matter what settings I chose. So I bought Rocksmith 2014 and used the crack to use my Line-In as the input for the device. ![]()
